Overview
Most organizations need more than one admin — a head of academics, a registrar, an operations lead. The platform supports multiple admins, each with optional program-level scope.
Inviting an admin
Open Admins
From the admin dashboard, go to Admins → Invite admin.
Enter their email
Pick scope
Two options:
- Full organization — sees and manages everything.
- Program-scoped — restricted to one or more programs only.
Send
They get an email invitation.
Program-scoped admins
A program-scoped admin only sees:
- Programs and classes they're scoped to.
- Teachers and students in those programs.
- Reporting limited to their scope.
They cannot:
- Invite new admins.
- Edit organization-level settings.
- See data outside their scope.
Changing an admin's scope
From the admins list, click an admin. You can update their scope at any time. The change is effective immediately.
Removing an admin
Click Remove admin. They lose access immediately. Any data they created (students they enrolled, etc.) stays.
Warning. The primary admin (the original organization creator) cannot be removed unless ownership is transferred to another admin first.
Best practices
- Use program scope. It's safer than giving everyone full access.
- Have at least two full admins. If the primary admin loses access, another admin can recover.
- Audit admins quarterly. People leave roles; access should follow.
