Creating Programs

Set up programs (learning tracks) with optional capacity and description.

Overview

A program is a learning track. Think of it as a subject + cohort: "Boys Hifz", "Girls Hifz", "Adult Tajwīd".

When to create a new program

  • You're teaching a meaningfully different subject (Hifz vs. Tajwīd).
  • You want separate analytics and reporting.
  • You want to assign separate admins or teachers to it.

Creating a program

  1. Open Programs & Classes

From the admin dashboard, go to Programs & Classes → New Program.

  2. Name the program

Use a name that's obvious to teachers and students (e.g. "Boys Hifz — Evening").

  3. Optional: capacity

Set a maximum number of students. See Student Capacity.

  4. Optional: description

    Used on enrollment forms.

  5. Save

The program now appears in the program list.

Assigning admins to a program

You can scope additional admins to specific programs only — useful for large organizations where one head of department shouldn't see another department's data. See Managing Admins.

Archiving a program

Archiving:

  • Hides the program from the active list.
  • Preserves all classes, students, and records.
  • Stops new enrollments.

Use this for programs that have ended (e.g., "Summer 2025 Camp").

Next steps

Once you have programs, you'll likely want to create classes inside them.
